The other day, I was surprised by a sudden request, but I had the opportunity to guide a wonderful couple from America, Finn and Hana, and help them enjoy a fishing trip in Japan. They came to Japan for snowboarding and sightseeing, but along the way, they saw the beautiful rivers of Hida Takayama and suddenly wanted to try fishing. In order to respond to their enthusiasm, I served as their fishing guide.
Hana is a very active and charming woman, and I admired her proactive approach to any challenge. Finn, it turns out, works as a fishing guide in Alaska, and I was truly impressed by his skills. However, perhaps because the fish were not in the mood that day, unfortunately, we were not able to get a big catch.
Even so, it seems they fully enjoyed Japan's mountain streams and the beauty of its nature, and I was glad to be able to spend time with them. This unexpected encounter and exchange with visitors from another country became another cherished memory.
