春がやってきた

This winter has seen unusually little snow, and perhaps as a result, nature is showing early signs of spring. Changes are particularly noticeable in the aquatic ecosystem, and the fish seem to be sensing the effects, becoming more active. Today was unexpectedly windy and cold, but anglers still had good results. In particular, the char and trout readily took the bead nymphs and responded enthusiastically.

While we didn't see as many aquatic insect hatches as hoped today, we expect to see more active fish responding to the hatches as temperatures rise further. Feeling the rhythm of nature makes me look forward to my next fishing trip. These seasonal changes make fishing even more appealing, bringing many discoveries and moments of wonder. I hope to fully enjoy the bounty of nature this spring.
