驚きのテンカラテクニック
娘が久しぶりに帰省中。お盆の良い時期だから、近くの渓流でテンカラ釣りを楽しみました。昔は釣りに行くたびに、娘も一緒に連れて行かされて、大変でした（笑）。でも成長ってすごいですね。今では完璧なテンカラテクニックで、たくさんのヤマメやイワナを釣り上げています。この日も見事でした。水量が少なくて、人見知りなイワナも彼女の前ではこうやって素直に姿を表しました。
こんなに釣りが上手くなるとは思っていませんでした。自然の中で一緒に時間を過ごしながら、娘の成長を感じることができて、何だかじんわりきました。打ち解け始めた親子の新しい趣味の時間。次はどんな冒険が待っているのかな？
My daughter has come home for the first time in a while. Since it’s the perfect time during Obon, we enjoyed tenkara fishing together in a nearby mountain stream. In the past, every time I went fishing, I used to make her come along with me, and it was a hassle for her (laughs). But growth is amazing, isn’t it? Now, she lands plenty of yamame and iwana with perfect tenkara technique. She was impressive on this day, too. Even though the water level was low and the iwana were usually shy, in front of her they revealed themselves so easily like this.
I never thought she would become so skilled at fishing. Spending time together in nature and feeling my daughter’s growth left me quietly moved. A new, warm time for this parent and child to enjoy their developing shared hobby. I wonder what kinds of adventures await us next?
