今日は今年初めての源流部の調査で、友人と一緒に出かけてきました。朝はやや静かな始まりでしたが、時間が経つにつれて水生昆虫のハッチが増え、午後にはナミヒラタカゲロウのスーパーハッチとなりました。その結果、魚たちの反応を引き出すことに成功しました。静かな水面の上をじっと観察すると、アマゴやイワナがゆっくりと餌を待っている姿が目に入ります。自然に溶け込んだ毛鉤を投入すると、彼らは疑いもなく毛鉤を咥えてくれます。この時期には、こんな光景に出会う機会が多く、フライフィッシングを楽しむ方々には至福のひとときをお届けできるのではないでしょうか。これからますます温かくなる季節も、魚たちとの対話を続けていく楽しさを皆様もぜひ味わってください。
Today, I went out with a friend for our first survey of the headwaters this year. The morning started rather quietly, but as time passed, the hatch of aquatic insects increased, and by the afternoon, there was a super hatch of mayflies. As a result, we succeeded in eliciting a response from the fish. If you observe the calm surface of the water carefully, you can see amago and iwana trout slowly waiting for food. When you cast a fly that blends in with nature, they take it without suspicion. At this time of year, you have many opportunities to encounter such scenes, and I think it can provide a blissful moment for those who enjoy fly fishing.
