I witnessed the secret art of ninja fishing!
I went mountain stream fishing with a friend for the first time in a while. His tenkara fishing skills are truly amazing. Like a ninja, he approaches the fish with quiet movements, using rocks and shadows to his advantage. Watching him fish, the phrase "ninja fishing" naturally came to mind.
The weather was clear, and it was tough to battle the fish, but he successfully lured them out as if sneaking up on them. Skillfully switching between Western-style dry flies and Japan's traditional sakasa kebari, he eased the fishes' wariness.
Taking on nature and targeting fish with ninja-like techniques—this style of fishing is something you should definitely experience at least once. A day spent with a fishing buddy is full of laughter and surprises.
